D Schroeder

Of Mount Morris, age 89, died Monday, July 8, 2013, on her 67th wedding anniversary, at Concerned Country Care in Montrose. The funeral service will take place 10:30am, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Our Savior Lutheran Church 6901 N. Saginaw St. Flint. Pastor Randy Schultz will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. On Thursday Erdene will be taken to church to lie in state from 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Our Savior Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Erdene was born April 21, 1924 in Paragould, Arkansas the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace and Ora (Emery) Booth. She and Roy Schroeder were united in marriage July 8, 1946 in Lapeer, Michigan. Left to cherish her memory are, husband of 67 years, Roy Schroeder, five children; Dennis Schroeder,Reed Schroeder, Neil and wife Judy Schroeder, Carol and husband Delbert Jacob and Keith Schroeder, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Erdene was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ruby Stockinger and Letitia Turnbull. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to her friends and caregivers at Concerned Country Care in Montrose for the exceptional love and care she was given in the last six years of her life.
