Cory Creel

Cory Joshua Creel, age 38, of Millington, died Monday, November 27, 2017, at his home. In accordance with Cory’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at Vassar Victory Center, on Friday, December 1, 2017, at 11:00 am. Pastor Wally Reames will officiate. Cory was born June 27, 1979, in Saginaw, Michigan to Rodney Creel and Elizabeth Atwood. He graduated from Vassar High School with the class of 1998. After High School he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving from December of 1998 to December of 2002. His daughter meant the world to him and spent much time talking to her. In his free time, he enjoyed playing basketball and softball. Cory played football and Karate in his younger years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Elizabeth Mendez-Creel; one daughter: Angelina Creel; mother: Elizabeth “Betsy” (William) Atwood; father: Rodney Creel; one sister: KaLeena Atwood; one sister-in-law: Kelly Creel; one grandmother: Glenor Creel; five nieces and nephews: Cordelia Stroick, Zander Creel, Kendal Atwood, Tyson Sharp and Wyatt Childs; and many aunts and uncles. Cory was preceded in death by brother Rodney, grandparents Howard and Grace Covert, and grandfather Roger Creel. Memorials may be directed to the family to be used for the wishes of the family.
