It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Sue Mims (Seeley), a loving mother, a remarkable woman, and a dedicated grandmother. Connie's courageous battle with cancer came to an end on August 25, 2024. Connie was 66 years old. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm, on September 4, 2024, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services, 1194 E. Mt. Morris Rd. Mt. Morris, Michigan 48458. Pastor Robyn Parker to officiate, with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Connie’s family will be present to receive friends from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Substance Abuse and Mental Health Foundation, a cause close to Connie's heart. Connie was born on November 9, 1957, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Marlene Seeley. She was number five in a family of nine children. Connie met her first husband Michael Collins in high school. They got married on December 8, 1973. They were married for 8 years and in that time had three beautiful children. She found her second love of her life, Jimmy Duane Mims, working at The Breakfast Spot in Flint, Michigan. She fell in love and got married on May 27, 1995. Connie lived a happy life with him until his passing on May 22, 2010. Connie was a brilliant and accomplished woman. She worked at Stockton House, a family restaurant, The Breakfast Spot, and McLaren in Flint, Michigan as a housekeeper and retired after 10 years to spend time with her family. Her passion in life was her family. Connie's nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of her children. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Connie was known for her warm and caring personality. She had a generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards, especially Poker, going to the casino, and spending time with family and friends.

Connie's memory will be forever cherished by her children: Michael Collins of Texas, Tanya (Corey) Swanson from Prescott, Michigan, and Jennifer (Tony) Morley from Prescott, Michigan; siblings: Gloria Cliber from Clio, Randy (Joanne) Seeley from Washington, Catherine (Craig) Peterson from Birch Run, Reine Seeley from Flint, Fred (Janiece) Seeley from Utah, Michelle Cox from Mt. Morris, Mary (Tim) Mauer from Clio and John (Jenni) Seeley from Wisconsin; grandkids: Jessica (Joe) Jennings from Prescott, Courtney (Timmy) Sawvel from Chesaning, Rachel (Hudson) Olsick from Pinconning, AuBrionna (Sean) Eimers from Prescott, Austin Morley from Prescott; five great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. Her legacy as a mother, sister, and friend will endure, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all. In our hearts, she lives on, and we will forever honor the legacy of a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on the world.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; husband; brother-in-law, Edward Cliber; and many friends and family.
