Coleman Szecsodi

SZECSODI, Coleman William (Bill , and Moose) Of Clio, age 74, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at home. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Mr. Hank Messing will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm, and Sunday from 12:00 noon until time of service at 2:00pm.. Memorial contributions may be made to a Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Bill was born June 25, 1934 in Montrose, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Coleman and Anna (Treso) Szecsodi. He and Mary Louise Brophy were united in marriage June 12, 1954, in Mt. Morris. Bill worked as a Skilled Tradesman for GM Truck and Bus for 32 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of UAW Local #598. Bill farmed all of his life with his father, in the Clio area. He wore many hats, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His passion for farming and oval track racing with his wife Mary Lou, cousins, Mike and Bob Tresso, carried through family blood with sons Bill, Dave, Bob, and grandsons, AJ, Matt, Chaz, and Tanner. Bill leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years Mary Lou, five children: Bill (Toni), Mary Kay (Joe)Thompson, Dave (Cheryl), Bob (Sue), Teresa (Bob) Pray, all of Clio and Mt. Morris area, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a large extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one great grandson.
