\ CALDWELL, Clinton D. \ Age 85 of Flint died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Brianas House in Davison. He died peacefully in the loving arms of his son, Gary, and daughter in law Cheryl. \ Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, Mr.Vernon Lawrence officiating, and burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Clintonas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Sunday from 11:00am to 9:00pm, and on Monday from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society, or the American Cancer Society; envelopes are available at the funeral home. Clinton was born November 6, 1921 in Gibson, Missouri the son of Cora and Dee Caldwell. He was a WWII Veteran and served in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Chevrolet MFG. (In the Hole) after 37 years of service. He married his soul mate Pauline and was happily married until her death in 1998. He was a member of the Arrowhead Vets Club, V.F.W., and American Bowling Congress. He loved bowling, shooting pool, and the Detroit Tigers. Clinton leaves to cherish his memory: Gary and wife Cheryl of Mt. Morris, brother Harold and wife Faye of Flushing, and brother Kenneth of Gibson Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline, parents, brother Ora, and sisters Odel, and Linnie.
