Catherine Laframboise

April 22, 1957 — October 7, 2018

Catherine “Cathy” Lenore LaFramboise, age 61 of Mt. Morris, formerly of Clio, died on October 7, 2018, at Medilodge of Grand Blanc. Services will be held privately at a later date. Cathy was born on April 22, 1957, in Flint, the daughter of Frederick Joseph and Constance Bell (Blandford) LaFramboise. Growing up, Cathy was a proud Girl Scout. She was the best at Hula Hoop, singing karaoke, absolutely loved to dance and make people laugh. She grew up with five brothers and one sister, and it showed. In her later years, she enjoyed fishing, playing pool, playing Yahtzee, and cooking. Cathy had many accomplishments including graduating from Clio High School, working at Kmart, and her dream of home ownership. She was a very outgoing, sweet, and forgiving person. Every person Cathy met she considered her friend. The friendships she made as a child and teenager lasted her lifetime. Family and friends meant everything to her. After talking on the phone, she didn’t want us to tell her “goodbye” because it seemed too final; she would say, “Later.” When we told her “I love you”; she would say, “I love you more.“ Cathy’s favorite nickname was Cat. She was devoted to her little dog and companion, Martini, and enjoyed sitting outside on her swing together. Cathy often said the best gift she received in life was her son, Jon. She was a mother and father both, to him. He was her best friend and primary caregiver throughout his adult life. Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Frederick; her brothers: Fredrick “Ric” LaFramboise and Steven LaFramboise, and her special best friend Penny June (Hennessy) Diener. Cathy is survived by her mother Constance; son Jon; brothers: Gerald LaFramboise, Anthony LaFramboise, Jac LaFramboise; sister: Lana and husband, Robert Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. We love you more, Kitty Cat…Later.
