Of Clio, age 61, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at home. The funeral service will take place 10:00am, Monday, November 9, 2009 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Bob VanKuren will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Family will be present at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Sunday from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm, and Monday from 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Family Fund (for grandchildren-care of Jean McGeathy). Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Carolyn was born May 8, 1948 in Illinois the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Zona (Lamb) Scott. She and Thomas L. McGeathy were united in marriage August 11, 2000 in Toledo, Ohio. She loves bowling and going to the casino, and traveling. Taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren, was an important part of her life. Left to cherish her memory are husband, Thomas McGeathy; children, Terry and wife Trish Pease, Richie Pease, Kimberly Pease; grandchildren, Joshua, Ryan, Tiffany, Gary, Ashley, Nicholas, Erica, Brandon, Zachary, Taylor, Joseph, and Miranda, AaA"BugAaA,great-grandchild, Nyiah; mother, Zona Scott, brothers, Gerald and wife Irene Scott, Ron and wife Lana Scott, Kenny and wife Joanne Scott, Paul and wife Bobbie Scott, Gary and wife Susan Scott; brothers-in-law, Brad and wife Jean McGeathy, Robert McGeathy; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, infant brother, and first husband Joseph Paul Pease. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Hospice, especially, Todd, Jason, Cheryl, Gert, Robin, and Bill.
