Of Paris, Texas, age 84, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at Aspen Ridge Assisted Living in Gaylord, Michigan. Carol's family will be present to receive friends at the mausoleum at Flint Memorial Park on Saturday, October, 26, 2013, from 11:00 am until time of Committal at 12:00 pm. In leau of flowers donations maybe made to Hospice of Michigan, Alzheimer's Association or to the Parkinson Foundation. Carol was born May 14, 1929, in Victory, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Carrie (Derby) Loxen. She was a member of the Eastern Stars, she enjoyed traveling throughout Michigan looking at lighthouses, playing cards, cooking and she was known for her cookies. She loved to walk and before leaving Spring Lake Assisted Living in Texas she became a member of the "Milestone Club" upon completion of 800 miles. Left to cherish her memory three sons: Tracy (Marsha) Tucker, Guy (Ann) Tucker and Thomas Tucker; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Irma (Gene) Smith, Gail Schneider; three step-daughters: Cathie (David) Nelson, Jeannine (Stan) Shaw and Linda (David) Washburn; beloved aunt Erma Groeneveld; brother-in-law Don (Nona) Tucker, sister-in-law Flossie (Les) Keefer; numerous neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Carol was preceded in death by husband Joe McGee, sister Ruth Ball, granddaughter Cora Tucker, grandson Shannon Washburn, special friend Blake Crouch.
