Age 79, of Clio, died Saturday, January 4, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. A funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 3222 S. Genesee Rd. Burton, Michigan, 48519. Pastor Mark Matheny officiating with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Carol’s family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Thursday morning, Carol will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral at 11:00 am. Carol was born in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arent and Gertrude (Ballard) Evenson. Educated locally, Carol graduated from Pinconning High School with the class of 1963. Carol met the love of her life, Charlie Kintner while picking cherries in Traverse City, on July 16, 1960. They were united in marriage on October 26, 1963, in Bay City. She worked for H&R Block in the Flint and Burton areas for 25 years, before retiring in 2001. In her free time, Carol enjoyed reading, camping, traveling with her husband, Charlie, and taking her "girl" trips, Christmas time, and collecting a variety of things. She also loved shopping for “treasures.” Her family was most dear to her, especially her grandchildren. Carol was a kind hearted, and loving person who always greeted you with a smile even the family pets.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charlie; three children: Kenneth (Belen) Kintner, Kathy (Peter) Gillies, and Lisa (George) Moore; grandchildren: Kyle, Kenneth Jr., John, Martin, Megan, Tia, Taylor and husband, Jake, Cameron, and Caleb; two great-granddaughters: Ellie, Juliette; three siblings: David (Cindy) Evenson, Michael Evenson, and Roxanne (Robert) Hea; sister-in-law, Linda Kintner; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Lena LaMay; siblings: Darrel, Lenore, Wesley, Charlene, Sandra, Darwin; several brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
