Age 37, of Mt. Morris, died unexpectedly, Friday, February 28, 2020, at her home. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 6, 2020, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Lynn Hopper to officiate, with cremation to follow. Cari’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and on Friday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Expressions of sympathy and donations may be made by visiting Cari’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home. Cari “Carebear” was born on March 16, 1982, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. Kevin Hamilton, Sr. and Mrs. Cheryl Perez. Six years ago, Cari met the love of her life, Dennis Woods, and they built a wonderful life together. Cari was employed at the Oasis Bar in Mt. Morris, as a bartender. Known as the life of the party, Cari could brighten anyone’s day with just the smile on her face. Fun-loving, kind-hearted, and full of life, Cari loved people. She also had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Cari and Dennis took many trips on their Harleys, traveling all over Michigan and to Florida. Cari loved boating, especially on the Holloway Reservoir. She also loved to Karaoke. Her favorite song to sing was Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. Cari also enjoyed going on cruises, crocheting, painting, and decorating. A lover of animals, Cari leaves behind her beloved pug, Lucy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish Cari's memory are the love of her life, Dennis, parents; Kevin, Sr. (Denise), and Cheryl (Julio), mother-in-law; Mary, siblings; Kevin (Christina), Erin (Rick), and Kory (Bernadette), grandparents; Vivian (Fred), niece and nephews; Alaina, Evan, Lane, Landyn, Grayson, and Bentley, several aunts, uncles, and friends. Cari was preceded in death by her grandparents; John, Fred, and Mavis (Gigi).
