Age 87 passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Genesys Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving daughters Beverly and Sharon. A celebration of life will be at Martin Funeral Home, Mt. Morris, from Noon to the time of his Funeral at 1pm, Friday, December 16th. In accordance with Bruce’s wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be buried at a later date in Flint Memorial Park. Bruce served in the 200th Infantry Regiment, Company G., where he met and married his wife of 45 years, Jewell (Grubbs). He was the Co-Owner and Secretary-Treasury for F. E. Knickerbocker Oldsmobile in Mt. Morris. After retiring from the dealership, Bruce continued to work, first for GM Parts Catalog Division in Flint and then, until age 84, the Morley Company in Saginaw. Bruce enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, golf and bowling. He loved puttering around the yard and his beloved dogs Peppi and Shorty. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Beverly and Sharon and her husband John Gunnels, brother Stuart and wife Ellen Knickerbocker, and close friend Hazel Harkness, several nieces and nephews, and many life long friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother and sister. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to the American Cancer Society.
