Age 80, of Mount Morris, died Saturday, September 7, 2019, at McLaren Hospital. In accordance with Beverly’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and services will take place at a later time. In memory of Beverly, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Donations may be made through Beverly’s memorial page at martinfuneralhome.com, or envelopes are available at the funeral home. Beverly was born April 4, 1939, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester and Leona (Payton) Wilson. Educated locally, Beverly graduated from Bendle High School in 1956. In 1955, Beverly married Leonard Parks. After graduation, she continued her studies at Mott Community College, graduating in 1979 with her Associates Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She began her career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Flint. When St. Joe’s closed, she went to work for Hurley Hospital, retiring in 1998. Upon her retirement, Beverly spent time with her beloved family, enjoying time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a beautiful spirit who’s light will be missed by all. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Cindy Deford, Leonard Keene Jr., Rudolf Keen, David A., and wife Deborah M. Keen, and Craig Stevens Keen; grandchildren: Sarah and husband, Robert Kefer, Amanda Dorn, Aaron Keene, Jeffery Winslow, Christopher Winslow, Bradley and wife, Lina Winslow, Jessica Keene, Beverley and husband, Cody Bosserdet, Joshua Keene, Amy Keene, Casey Keene, Shanon and husband Gerald Savard, Aimiee Keene, and Kayla Keene; 24 great-grandchildren; half-sister Janet Parks; son-in-law, Mott Dorn; beloved fur babies Izzy, and the gang of pit bulls; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Rene Dorn; son, Jeffery Keene; sisters; Shirley Hemphill, and Margie McGillivray; daughter-in-law, Joy Keene; and son-in-law, Ronald Deford. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kayla Keene for taking care of grandma while she was at the hospital.
