Betty Tenant

TENANT, Betty J. Of Mt. Morris, age 89, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Covenant Health Care- Cooper. The funeral service will take place 10:00 am, Friday, October 14, 2011, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Richey will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Thursday, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00am. Family and friends will gather for an Order of Eastern Star Memorial Service on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be considered to the Order of Eastern Star. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Betty was born July 8, 1922, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan and Beatrice (Girard) Woodbeck, Sr. She and Roland Tenant were united in marriage; he preceded her in death 1980. Betty worked for the Mt. Morris School District in the kitchen and as a custodian for many years, before retiring in 1983. Left to cherish her memory, are son, Brad; brother, Alan and wife, Carol Woodbeck, Jr.; great granddaughter, Alexis Nolen; sister-in-law, Juanita Tennant; special friends, Sandy Nolen, Devon Carney and Darlene Helms; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Roland. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Medi-Lodge in Montrose and the staff of Tendercare of Frankenmuth.
