Betty Martin

Martin, Betty A. \ Age 78 of Mt. Morris died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Lincoln Park United Methodist Church in Flint, Rev. Karen Williams officiating with burial following at Crestwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday and 11:00 am - 9:00 pm Friday. At 7:00 pm Friday, there will be a memorial service by the Mt. Morris Order of Easter Star #474. Saturday morning, Betty will be taken to the church to lie in state from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Masonic Pathways of Alma, MI or the VNA Hospice. Betty was born April 25, 1928 in Clio, Michigan daughter of Mr. & Mrs. A.C. and Marjorie (Teeters) Glassburn. She married Roy Howard Martin on February 14, 1948 in Mt. Morris, Michigan. She was a graduate of Clio High School, Class of 1946.\ Betty was a member of the Lincoln Park United Methodist Church and the Mt. Morris Chapter #474 Order of the Eastern Star. Left to cherish Bettyas memory are her husband, Roy; children, Matthew and wife Terri Martin of Flint, Karen and husband Robert Murphy of Clio, Crista and husband Jeffery Thompson of Flint, Kevin Martin of Sidney, Ohio, Kathy and husband Eric Kincaid of Flint, Sandra Schwerin of Flushing; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Jeffry Snyder of Grand Blanc, Julie and husband Chad Barnes of Clio, Suzanne Stevens of Flint, Jason and wife Lindy Murphy of Clio, Rebecca and husband Frank Bartnicke of Mt. Morris, Brooke and husband Gary Brasseur of Grand Blanc, Courtney and husband Nathan Cook of Swartz Creek, Joseph Allen of Jefferson City, TN, Sarah and husband Robert Dorcey of Owosso, Royce Martin of Anna, OH., Kacy Martin of Vandalia, OH., Daniel Schwerin of Flushing, Rachel Schwerin of Flushing; eleven great grandchildren, Corbin, Aidan, Zachary, Kaylee, Devon, Abigail, Brendan, Kelcie, Dylan, Taryn and Reese; two sisters, Paula Plew of Mt. Morris, Lorna and husband Gordon Stebbins of Arizona; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carol Martin of Swartz Creek, Alice and husband Walt Langbein of Flushing, Irene Simms of Swatrz Creek, Leota Martin of Grand Blanc, Pat Glassburn of Mt. Morris, Barb Glassburn of Flint, Jan Glassburn of Oregon, Juanita Coty of Arizona; many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Rev.
