Betty Husocki

Age 87, of Clio, died Friday, August 15, 2014, at her daughter’s home surrounded by family. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor Darrel Manning will officiate with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday, from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm, then on Tuesday, from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Betty was born December 29, 1926, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Ernest and Catherine Smith (Leahy). She graduated from Flint Northern High School. She and Steve Husocki were united in marriage on December 6, 1947. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio. In her free time, when she was younger she enjoyed bowling, crocheting, snowmobiling, hunting small game and fishing. She traveled and went camping with her husband to many different places. As she grew older she loved watching birds. She also loved spending time with her family and her life long friend Marie. Left to cherish her memory are children, Judy and husband, Harry Beach, Tony and wife, Yvonne Husocki and Sandra and husband, Mark Renaud; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve; son, Randy; grandson, Tony; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
