Age 93, died Friday, January 27, 2017, at Gross Assisted Living in Clio. A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 30, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Mt Morris First United Methodist Church. Pastor Bruce Billing to officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 29, 2017, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Mt. Morris, and on Monday, at the church from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring to make memorial donations in Betty’s memory may direct them towards the Mt. Morris First United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Betty was born May 10, 1923, in Flint to the late Mr. and Mr. Ralph and Philene (VanTifflin) Frazier. She and Vernon Haynes were united in marriage on June 1, 1946. Sadly he preceded her in death on March 9, 2005. She was a member of the Mt. Morris First United Methodist Church and was a member of Orpha Circle. Betty cherished spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading and knitting in her spare time. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bruce, and wife, Martha Haynes; two daughters: Dianne and husband, John Corcoran, and Janice and husband, Bruce Knight; daughter-in-law, Gail Haynes; seven grandchildren:Noah and wife, Shelly Haynes, Amy and husband, Josh Shanks, Sarah and husband, Mike Gizzi, Emily and husband Eric Cherry, Ashley and husband, Chet Allen, Leigha Haynes, and Kari Richardson and boyfriend, Derek Szecsodi; fifteen great grandchildren: Solomon, Samson and fiancee Aly, Joshua, Isaiah, Maximus, Isabella, Moses, Julius, Carson, Camden, Braylon, Grant, Leightyn, and Kenzley; four sisters: Mary Thrall, Maxine Vuncannon, Joyce Garey, and Carol and husband, Tim Sanders; three sisters-in-law: Donna Frazier, Nancy Frazier, and Nina Haynes; brother-in-law, Robert Haynes; many special nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Vernon, son Roger, her parents, sister Kathryn, and two brothers: Richard and Charles. The family wishes to thank the people at Gross Assisted Living for the loving care they provided, and to Stacie and Naomi with Angelic Heart Hospice. Friends may share a memory with the family at the funeral home, the church.
