Age 89, of Flint, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2025, with her daughter, Stephanie McClure, and special adopted daughters: Kim Bryant and Vickie Bentley holding her hands. In accordance with Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will take place 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Mt. Morris Church of Christ, 1262 South St. Mt. Morris, Michigan, 48458. Betty’s family will be present at church to receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Betty was born June 13, 1935, in Lapeer, she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Claude and Leona (Mogg) Coulter. Educated locally, Betty graduated from Davison High School with the class of 1953. Betty continued her education at a trade school, where she would earn a certificate as a Medical Transcriptionist. Shortly after earning her certificate, Betty would begin working at the Flint Osteopathic Hospital until they closed; from there she would begin working at Genesys Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 2000, after 30 years of service. Betty was a member of the Mt. Morris Church of Christ and enjoyed going to lunch Bible study. She loved the Lord and lived her life for Him. In her free time, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and good friends: Jan and Terry, volunteering at the election polls, shopping at Gotta Have It Consignments, and was a long-time member of the Red Hat Society. Betty was known for having a heart of gold who would adopt anyone needing a mother.

Left to cherish her memory are her five children: Stephanie (Danny) McClure, Diane (Lenny) Ladner, Timothy (Renee) Starr, Susan (Anthony) Wilson, and Catherine (Robert) Fredriks; 18 grandchildren: Emily (Nathan) Rasor, Chrisandra (Anton Lockwood) Bayne, Suzzette Jenkins, Brent Starr, Jason (Conchita) Croy Jr., Brandon (Crystal) Wilson, Spencer (Beth) Wilson, Ashley (Matthew), Hannah (Nathanial) Wilson, Laura Wilson, Melissa Wilson, Natalie (Michael), Vincent Wilson, Moriah Wilson, Vanessa Wilson, Maximus Wilson, Troy (Lynn Schultz) Fredriks;, and Natasha (Larry); numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; two siblings: Dale (Terry) Fox, and Douglas (Linda) Fox; nieces, nephews and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Mogg and her father, Claude Coulter.
