Betty Buechler

Of Flushing, age 90, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. The funeral service will take place 11:00am Monday, October 22 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Ted Stevens will officiate with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Elizabeth was born February 10, 1922 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nestor and Edna (Issacson) Johnston. She worked at Jacobsons in Florida for about 16 years before retiring and moving to Elmcrest Village in Flushing where she made many great friends. Elizabeth was a kind and thoughtful person that simply loved being around others, especially her family. Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Carol Hutchins; grandchildren, Suzanne and Don; great-grandchildren Marlana and Austin; two sisters; one brother, and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother, and her companion Ralph.
