Beatrice “Bea” was born on April 25, 1929, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Levia (Peroni) Rossio. Educated locally, she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Flint, and graduated with the Class of 1946. Bea met and married the love of her life, Peter Fusi, on June 19, 1948. Sadly, he preceded her in death on June 9, 2000. Their union was blessed with four amazing children. Bea was an accomplished seamstress and learned to sew at a very young age. She made costumes for dance students, wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and even Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus costumes that they wore every year in the Mt. Morris Parade. Bea loved flowers of all kinds and enjoyed planting and working in her vegetable garden. She just harvested 100-year-old tomato seeds from Italy. She loved canning and having food for the whole year from their harvest. Bea loved MSU and was an avid Spartans fan. She loved to tailgate and was a season ticket holder for many years. She was very active in the Sons of Italy in Flint for many years as the treasurer until they closed. Bea enjoyed cooking and making fresh, homemade food for her family, all of which were authentic recipes from Italy. She and her husband built a wine cellar in their basement where they would make and age their own wine to perfection. Bea was an amazing woman and took pride in her family and loved them all dearly.

Left to cherish Bea’s memory are her children: Leanna and husband, Robert Rice, Joanna and husband, Richard Diehl, Peter III and wife, Janice Fusi; grandchildren: Robert Rice II and partner, Thomas Rutherford, Dianna Grace, Jason and wife, Maria Diehl, Paula and husband, Andrew Weise, Nicholas and wife, Julie Fusi; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles II and wife, Jane Rossio; sisters-in-law: Joy Fusi, Mary Pat Rossio, Shirley Wallace; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Bea was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Peter Fusi; her parents; son, Anthony Fusi; grandson, Curtis Diehl; brothers: James Rossio and Richard Rossio; daughter-in-law: Debbie Fusi; son-in-law, Jeff Grace, brothers-in-law: Eugene Fusi, Al Wallace.
