Augusta Filpansick

FILPANSICK, Augusta G. Of Cadillac, formerly of Flint, age 84, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Mercy Hospital Cadillac. The funeral service will take place 10:00am , Friday, October 10, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow in Montrose Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Friday from 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy Hospice of Cadilac. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Augusta was born August 11, 1924 in East Patterson, NJ the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert and Lillian (Strohmeyer) Longaker. She and George Filpansick were united in marriage August 26, 1943 in Haledon, NJ. She was employed at Flint General Hospital for 20 years. Augusta leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Charlotte and husband Gale Butterfield, Lillian and husband Richard Speckmann, one son: George and wife Sue Filpansick, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, sister Patricia Farillo, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, and daughter Roseanne Curvin.
