Antoinette Schack

Of Flint, age 80, died Monday, February 18, 2013, at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place. A Life Celebration will take place 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dave Burkett will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm. Antoinette "Toni" was born November 6, 1932 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Mary Roman. She and Ken Schack were united in marriage on November 13, 1954. The first half of Toni's career she worked as a nurse at Hurley and several doctor's offices. The second half of her career as a nurse was her passion and true calling; caring for mentally and physically challenged patients. This type of nursing exemplified Toni's love and dedication as to others, especially her patients. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Dave and wife, DeAnna Schack and Tom with Amy Schack; six grandchildren, Cameron and wife, Stephanie, Brendon, Addyson, Amanda, Victoria and Alexandria; one great-granddaughter, Sophia; siblings, Betty Briskey and husband, Tom, Pat Gere and husband, Wayne, Joan Tolley, Ron Roman and wife, Cindy, John Roman and wife, Linda, Mary and husband, Mouner Kasem andTerri and husband, Dale Parker and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, two nephews, and one niece. Toni's sons would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the extended family, for the love and support they have shown to Toni throughout her life.
