Aniceto Rendon

Of Burton, Michigan, age 86, died Saturday, September 24, 2011, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Flint. Fr. Cecilio Reyna will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Aniceto's family will be present to receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Tuesday evening family, friends and parish will gather for a Scripture Service at 7:00 pm followed by praying the Rosary. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or the North End Soup Kitchen. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Aniceto was born April 17, 1925, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the son of Fortino and Delfina (Castillo) Rendon. He and Cirila Estrada were united in marriage February 20, 1949. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going to church, volunteering at the soup kitchen, watching wrestling, hunting and gardening. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Cirila; 8 daughters: Rosa Wood; Isidra (Chuck) Swack; Connie Portillo; Juanita (Chris) Spohn; Paula Clanton; Irene (David) Reno; Elena (Andrew) Rendon-Owens; Gloria Rendon; 18 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry; and granddaughter, Raquel.
