Of Mt. Morris, age 89, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Avalon Hospice. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am Friday, December 14, 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home 2:00 to 9:00pm Thursday. Family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray a Scriptural Rosary 6:00pm Thursday. Friday morning, Andrew will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary School or the charity of your choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.\ \ Andrew was born May 21, 1918 in Flint the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Mary (Fekete) Ondovcsik. After attending All Saints Catholic School in Flint, he served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years. On August 23, 1955, Andrew married the love of his life Lillian Ramona Cone in Flint. He attended Flint Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years before becoming a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Andrew retired from Buick Motor Division after 38 years as a truck driver. He was a member of UAW Local 599. After his retirement one of his greatest joys was farming, where he worked with his four sons. Andrew also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and helping his neighbors. He was a very devoted Christian and had a one-on-one relationship with the Lord.\ \ Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Ramona "Mothera, 3 Sons: Gary and wife Karen of Hancock; Randy and wife Judy of Cullman, AL; Michael and wife Linda of Flushing; \ 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, Brother: George of Davison, A host of nieces, nephews and friends. His special friend and caregiver: Carrie Sontag. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Andrew Jr. in 2000, 4 sisters and 5 brothers. A special thank you to Genesys Medical Center for their excellent care and to all of his home health aides.\
