Alvin James

January 18, 1917 — March 18, 2006

Age 89, of Flint, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at the Argentine Care Center in Linden. Mr. Jamesa funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Morris Cemetery. His visitation will take place on Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directed to the Argentine Care Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Alvin was born January 18, 1917 in Saskatchewan, Canada the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Nettie (Stevenson) James. He and Virginia Kusky were united in marriage October 25, 1952, in Flint. Alvin served in the US Army during WWII from 1942 to 1943 and his career would lead him to GM where he worked for Buick as a Pinsetter for many years. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Virginia, and several friends at the Argentine Care Center.
