Alice “May” was born in Flint on June 28, 1932, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Violet (Marlow) Bunn. Educated locally, May attended Beecher High School and graduated with the Class of 1950. After graduation, May went on to obtain her nursing degree from Mott Community College. She had a passion for helping others and worked as an LPN for Hurley Medical Center until her retirement. Alice was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #8236, Ladies Auxiliary in Mt. Morris. She was a past member of the Jayco Jafare RV Group and enjoyed camping locally. She was also a member of Chapters 283 & 153 N.C.H.A and the #98 Mended Hearts of Genesee County support group for open heart patients. May was a member of SS Charles and Helena Catholic Church and spent much time reading her Bible and attending church. Baking cookies and pies was one of May’s favorite pastimes. Especially peanut butter cookies with the fork marks and molasses cookies with the thumbprint and jelly, along with pies for every occasion. In her free time, May enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, and knitting, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, and she will be greatly missed.
