Obituary of Mae C. Boyd

Mae C. “Toot” Boyd, age 100, returned to her heavenly home on Friday, March 2, 2018, in Palm Bay, Florida. The funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, March 10, 2018, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 9, 2018, from  5-8pm, and on Saturday one hour prior to services Rev. James Montney officiating with private burial to follow at Mt. Morris Cemetery. Mae was born December 21, 1917, to the late Walter and Fern Serven in Mt. Morris, Michigan. She married Harold Boyd in Mt. Morris and made the fine town their home. Mae and Harold were married for 74 wonderful years until he preceded her in death in 2011. Mae was employed by AC Spark Plug until her retirement and will be remembered for her avid knitting, crafting and bowling skills.  Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Marjorie Wonch and her husband Patrick; and Patti Whitman. Nine wonderful grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also delight in her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother Francis Richard Serven, and her nephew Robert Serven.
