Obituary of Gerry E. Harris
Age 76, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at the Curry House in Cadillac. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, January 26, 2018, at the Home Baptist Church in Mt. Morris, with a private burial to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Tuesday morning. Gerry’s family will receive friends at the church on Thursday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am.
Gerry was born August 4, 1941, in Flint, she is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allen and Dorothy (Phinney) Miller. On July 28, 1962, she married the love of her life, Robert Harris. Sadly, he preceeded her in death on October 25, 2012. In her free time, she loved genealogy, gardening, scrapbooking, and sewing. She was a caring, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory: daughter, Karon (Tom) Krause; son, Richard (Brenda) Harris; five grandchildren: Thomas (Megan), Carolyn, (Austin), Ricky, Sabrina (Quincy), and Zachary; six great-grandchildren; and many other family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years Robert, grandson Joshua Krause, great-grandson Aksel Ngo, and her brother Butch Miller.
