Age 32, of Burton, died Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Hurley Medical Center. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 25, 2017, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tributes Services-Mt. Morris. Jake was born March 24, 1985, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Clinton and Patricia (Giddings) Smith. Jake graduated from Southwestern Academy in Flint. He was known for his determination and had a happy, giving and loving personality. In his free time, he enjoyed wrestling, football, and basketball. He also loved to play cards, read, play on the PlayStation and spending time with his family and cat, Cuddles.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother: Patricia; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; 29 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton.
