Obituary of Ronald Devern Wright

Ronald Devern Wright, age 79, of Flint, died Thursday, August 03, 2017, at his home. A funeral service will take place 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Cremation will follow. Ronald’s family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, from 11:00 am, until the time of service.

Ronald was born May 31, 1938, in Flint, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Ernest and Marjorie (Penttengill) Wright. He worked for General Motors in Lansing, Michigan, for 30 years, before retiring. Ronald was also a member of the UAW Local #724 and the NRA. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and playing euchre. Ronald also loved to travel to his cabin in Reed City, and spend time with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children: RaeAnne (Dave), Jeffery (Christine Koch), and Deborah; eight grandchildren: Christopher, Jennifer, Amiee, Trisha, Ronald, Justin, Liz, and Torrea; three great-grandchildren: Alexis, Jayden, and Joseph; four siblings: Nona Jean, Robert, Richard, and David; and special friends, Hal and Randy.

Sadly, Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Frank and Melvin, sisters Shirley and Mary Lou, and grandson Jeffery.
