Obituary of Eddy Hatfield

Age 56, of Clio, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at his home in Clio. A funeral service will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Vassar, on Monday, July 10, 2017, at 4:00 pm. Pastor Doug Abel to officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until time of service at 4:00 pm. Those desiring to make memorial contributions in Eddy memory may direct them towards Eddy’s family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Eddy was born February 6, 1961, in Saginaw to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd and Catherine (Lemons) Hatfield.  He and Deborah Jean Gleeson were united in marriage on July 20, 1991, in Vassar. Eddy was a lifelong resident of the Vassar Community and enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors any chance he had. Eddy worked for Master Mechanic for many years. Eddy enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cornhole, telling stories and jokes, picking mushrooms and camping. He loved spending time being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie Hatfield; children: Wayne Withers, David Taylor, Chelsey Hatfield, Skyler Bunker, Lacey Schad; grandchildren: Coven Withers, Steven Withers, and Fialicite Withers; mother: Catherine Lemons; three brothers: Frank Hatfield, Wayne and wife, Kathy Hatfield, and Don and wife Leeann Lambert; sister, Linda Childs; very special sister-in-law; Pat “Patty Cakes” Hatfield; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

He is welcomed into heaven by his father, Floyd Hatfield and his brother, Howie Hatfield, two brothers-in-law: Mark Childs and Rodney Gleeson. Mother and Father-in-law Allen and Betty Gleeson.
