Obituary of Sandra Jean Lee
Sandra (Parkin) Lee, age 70, of Davison, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at her home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 1:00 pm, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Grand Blanc. Jerry Lee will officiate with burial to follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Sandra’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home Friday, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Saturday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
Sandra was born July 25, 1946, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. George J. and Anna L. (Harvey) Parkin. Sandra graduated from Grand Blanc High School with the class of 1964, and then went on to receive her Associate’s degree from Mott Community College in 1966. Sandra was a social security claims representative for many years, until her retirement in 1995. Throughout her life, Sandra was involved in many charitable organizations including the Red Cross, and the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation. She was also a survey researcher for the University of Michigan. In her free time, Sandra enjoyed researching her family’s genealogy, traveling across the United States, wine tasting, and crafting.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Ed (Kim) Lee, John (Lisa) Lee, Jr., and Andy Lee; one granddaughter: Skylar Lee; five siblings: Patrick (Barb) Harvey, David Harvey, Toni (Bob) Harvey, John (Mary Lou) Harvey, and Jessie Hammula; close niece, Susan (John) Ackley; and many other family members and close friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Loretta.
