Obituary of Sandra Lee (Carswell) Ramsey
Age 76, died Monday, May 8, 2017, surrounded by loving family at her home in Flint. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt Morris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, and on Friday from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm. Those desiring to make memorial contributions in Sandra’s memory may direct them to American Lung Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Sandra was born December 10, 1940, in Flint, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel and Mabel (Keefer) Carswell. Educated locally, Sandra attended Flint Central High School, graduating with the class of 59’. She worked for AC Spark Plug in Flint, retiring in 1995, and was a member of UAW Local 651. Sandra enjoyed playing cards with THE GIRLS from Local 651 and crocheting hats for the Old Newsboys. Sandra loved spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Chum. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she was “Granny Apples,” and cherished the good time's life had to offer.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Dana Pruitt, Tracy Wilson, and David Wilson Jr.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Daniel “ Muggs” and wife, Debbie Carswell, and David “Corky” Carswell; numerous special girlfriends from UAW Local 651.
She is welcomed into heaven by her parents, and sister Janet Gerow.
