Obituary of Archie F. Scott

Archie Scott, Age 80, of Clio, formerly of Gladwin, died Monday, May 1, 2017, at McLaren-Flint. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. The family will be present to receive friends and family at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm. Those desiring to make memorial contributions in Archie's memory may direct them towards his family. Mr. Scott was born August 30, 1936, in Gladwin to the late Mr. and Mrs. Archibald and Helen (Auer) Scott. He and Barbara Ann Barrentine were united in marriage in 1956 and spent 61 wonderful years together. He worked as a Milkman for McDonald Dairy/Country Fresh for many years until retirement in 2009. Archie enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going up north to his cabins in the Gladwin area, where he went to deer hunt, fish, snowmobile and play cards with his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his; wife, Barbara Scott; three children: Dennis Scott, Debra Scott, Sheri and husband, Dave Tufford; four grandchildren: Dwayn Bachand, Jason and wife, Tara Bachand, Brenda and husband, Tim Scharff, and Matthew and wife, Alyssa Tufford; three great-grandchildren: Josh Bachand, Zoey Scharff, and Chase Scharff; granddaughter Mackenzie Bachand; sister, Vera Mae and husband, Bill Janni; cousin, Lauren Batterbee.
