Obituary of Mary J. Werth

Age 102, of Mt. Morris, died Monday, March 6, 2017, at Pray Family Care Home in Clio. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 10, 2017, at 11:00 am, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Mt. Morris. Chaplain Don Bennett to officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Mary was born March 17, 1914, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph and Marie Vrsek. She and Clyde Walter Werth were united in marriage. Sadly, he preceded her in death in October of 1961. Mary worked as a custodian at Genesee High School for ten years. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her home. Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Norman Werth, Logan Werth Sr., and Lorie and husband, Doug Herzog; four grandchildren: Logan Jr. and wife, Robin, Melanie, Amanda and husband, Jason, and Candice; four great-grandchildren: Lydia, Lorelai, Luke, and Devon; great great grandchild, Major. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
