Obituary of Brian Lynn Forsyth

Of Vassar, age 48, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the U of M Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Martin Funeral Home - Vassar. Rev. John Becker will officiate, cremation has taken place. On Monday, February 22, 2010 at 12:00 noon burial of cremated remains will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. BrianAaas family will be present at the funeral home on Friday, from 3:30pm until 8:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the MPD Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Brian was born November 11, 1961 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman and Bethany "Barbara" (Wilcox) Forsyth. Brian proudly served in the United States Army for seven years before receiving his Honorable Discharge on February 2, 1987 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Brian was a Teamster driver for Super Foods and Quality Carriers. He enjoyed harness racing and restoring old cars, golfing and spending time with his family. Surviving are, mother, Bethany "Barbara" Forsyth, brothers and sisters, Connie and husband Ken Wells of Vassar, Cheri and husband Dennis Mills, Jr. of Vassar, Merry and husband Randy Johnson of Rapid River, and Norman Forsyth, Jr. of Florida, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Millington/Vassar areas. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Norman Dale Forsyth.
