Dick Ross, Jr., age 61, of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Saginaw VA Hospital. In accordance with Dick’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at Fountain of Grace Assembly of God on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 12 noon. Pastor Kevin Boulis will officiate. A funeral luncheon will follow at disabled american veterans in Burton (4270 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI 48519). Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House or the Disabled American Veterans. Envelopes will be available at the church. Dick was born February 7, 1956, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dick and Shirley (Kirby) Ross. He and Bonnie Quackenbush were united in marriage on June 12, 1975, in Mt. Morris. After graduating high school, Dick went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy. Upon receiving his honorable discharge, he returned home where he would go on to work as a warehouse employee until his retirement. In his spare time, Dick enjoyed going on camping trips, fishing, boating, listening to music, and reading novels. Dick also enjoyed driving his truck and going on motorcycle rides. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bonnie; two children: Casey (Steve) Tucker, and Travis (Katie) Ross; four grandchildren: Christina, Jessica, Stevie, and S.J.; three brothers: Tim (Donna) Ross, Larry Ross, and Mike Ross; and family dog Barney. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Dick, Sr. and Shirley.
