Marian Berneice Levesque, Age 91, of Clio, died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Gross Assisted Living of Clio. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at SS. Charles & Helena Church in Clio at 11:00 am, on Friday, April 29, 2016. Father Ken Coughlin to officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Service-Genesee Twp. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and she will lie in state at church from 10:00 am until time of mass at 11:00 am. Family and friends will pray the rosary with Deacon Ray Ellingson at the funeral home on Thursday, at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marian’s memory to Thetford Township Senior Center or SS. Charles & Helena Church. Mrs. Levesque was born January 16, 1925, in Flint, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Fredrick J. and Mary Jane (Hubert) Beers. She married Lionel Levesque on November 30, 1946 at St. John Vianney Church, in Flint. Sadly he preceded her in death in 2006. She worked for United Airlines as a radio telephone operator for three years, for Michigan State University Cooperative Extension Services for five years and the State of Michigan for five years as an employment Services Specialist. Marian was always active in her community by being a member of the Red Hat Society, Ladies Auxiliary member at the Birch Run VFW Post # 7542, and member of the Council of Catholic Women #5 at SS. Charles & Helena Church. She also enjoyed playing euchre and visiting with friends at the Thetford Township Senior Center and her church family from SS. Charles & Helena Church. Left to cherish Marian’s memory are her six children: David and wife, Cheryl Levesque, John Levesque, Janice and husband, Harry Ward, Denise and husband, Leonard Worthing, Edward Levesque, Gerald and wife, Colette Levesque; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Owen Smothers; several nieces & nephews; friends from the Thetford Township Senior Center; and her church family from SS. Charles & Helena Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Lionel Levesque, in 2006.
