Obituary of Harry LeRoy Schaub

Age 79, of Essexville, died Monday, November 30, 2015 at Mclaren-Bay in Bay City. Funeral service will take place on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 11:00 am, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. Pastor Terry G. Balogh to officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. There will be a funeral luncheon at St. Paul Lutheran Church immediately following the service. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Friday at church, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. in lieu of flowers memorial contributions made in Harry's memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at church. Harry was born May 4, 1936 in Montrose, son of the late Earnest R. and the late Lula Mae (Martin) Schaub. He and Patricia Helen Gamet were united in marriage on August 27, 1955, sadly she preceded him in death. Mr. Schaub served his country in the Marine Corps as a Private 1st Class and is a retired police chief of the Vassar Police Department and officer of the Mayville Police Department. Harry then went on to work for Loudon Steel as a truck driver after retirement. He is survived by his three children: Steve and wife Nancy Schaub, Christine and husband Jack Fenton, and Charles Schaub; brother, Randy Schaub; six grandchildren; and four great-grand children. Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; parents; sister, Diane;and brother-in-law, George.
