Obituary of Terry Lee Campbell

Age 52 of Fairgrove, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 12, 2014, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at the Martin Funeral Home in Fairgrove. Pastor Rich Lawther will officiate, with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home-Fairgrove on Tuesday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to the Family Wishes. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Terry was born October 15, 1961, in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thane and Roma Lee (Humm) Campbell. He attended Akron-Fairgrove Schools, graduating with the Class of 1979. After high school, he went on to attend Lincoln College of Technology, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Terry worked at Janson Equipment Company in Reese for many years. He was an extremely talented mechanic and welder who could fix anything with a motor. He loved music and had a beautiful tenor voice, singing at many weddings, including his own. He was a fun loving, kind, generous man who will be missed by his family and many friends. Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Craig and Evan; former wife, Judith Ann Sommer; mother, Roma Lee Campbell; sister, Denise and husband, John McQuillan; brother, Keith Campbell; two nephews, Aaron Sanback and Justin and wife, Allison Campbell; friend, Kathy Morton; and his faithful companion, Izzy. He was preceded in death by his father, Thane Campbell; niece, Samantha Campbell; and nephew, Joshua Sanback. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Critical Care Medical Unit 6D at University Hospital in Ann Arbor.
